About Janine
Janine Bloom comes from a background of Special Education, Psychology and Child Psychotherapy. She has specialised in many programmes to teach kids with various special educational needs as well as children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural problems.
Janine has gained many certifications and qualifications in the psychology and psychotherapy field in order to get a greater understanding of what affects a child’s behaviour (and their parents too) and how to incorporate positive changes.
Janine's career as a Learning and Behaviour Specialist spans more than 15 years. She has worked as a classroom teacher in mainstream schools as well as in schools for children with ADHD and other behavioural disorders. Janine has previously worked as a SENCO, a private tutor and has worked at Summer Camps in the USA as Head of Academics, Mental Health Support for children between the age of 7 & 18 with learning differences, social communication disorders and ADHD as well as other behavioural problems.
Many schools have called on her expertise to advise on school behaviour policies (for the whole school) and internal systems, as well as assisting with staff training and parenting talks.
Due to Janine’s exceptional expertise and natural flair to working with children and their families, she has been called on to work with, train & lecture teachers, as well as working privately with families in the UK, USA, Israel and South Africa.
Janine also offers talks & seminars within schools, private homes and corporate locations, on a variety of parenting, child development and child mental health topics.
Janine has a full DBS police check, is first aid trained and works from her office in North London where parking is plentiful for all visitors.
Most importantly Janine is a parent herself!
